Jen was invited to participate in this years Certain Women Art Show featuring artwork from over 100 women artists at Anthony's Antiques & Fine Art. The Show runs from Sept 30 - Nov 13th 2021 in downtown SLC at Anthony's Fine Art & Antiques 401 E 200 S, Salt Lake City.
The opening reception will be Thurs, September 30, 2021, 6-8pm
Jen's painting entitled 'HM study' will be available for sale the opening night of the show.

"She is surrounded by a beautiful sunset of bright colors of pinks, tangerines and yellows. Her essence is like orange sherbet ice cream and florals. You feel the kind of happiness that you experience as a child when it comes to laughter, games, candy and excitement. And when in her presence you are indeed surrounded by the most absolute pure love and joy you could ever experience.
This painting is from a personal experience.
I had originally intended to do a large piece for the show however due to the fire smoke affecting my health in August and September this year I was not able to complete it. This felt very disappointing, but in the end I think this is what was meant to be for the show. Having a smaller piece feels more intimate and personal. I hope that's what I can bring to the viewer.
I will share a larger version of this someday when the timing is right.
Rett Ashby is the amazing framer for this piece. I wanted the frame to have a holy and even a royal feeling to it, like something you would see in a cathedral. I think he did a stunning job, and it makes the painting complete.
